Every plan has an offer_source. Filter with offer_source=public or offer_source=termina_buying_group. The default, all, ranks both together by annual cost.

Why buying group rates don’t name a retailer

Termina doesn’t publish which retailer offers each buying group rate. The retailer, the full contract terms and any exit fees are shown in the offer a business receives, before it signs.

Termina’s fee

Buying group prices in the API are before Termina’s fee. Termina is paid a share of the savings it delivers, takes no commissions from retailers, and charges nothing if it doesn’t save the business money.

When a public plan is cheapest

Sometimes a public plan beats every buying group rate. Then summary.cheapest.offer_source is public, and the right recommendation is that public plan.

Plan IDs

Public plans include a plan_id. Until Consumer Data Right plan IDs are loaded it’s a stable Termina ID (plan_id_type: "termina_offer"). After that it’s the CDR plan ID (plan_id_type: "cdr"), which can be looked up on Energy Made Easy.

Customer type

customer_type_verified: false means a plan hasn’t yet been confirmed as a business plan, and it carries a customer_type_unverified warning. stats.lowest_public_verified_business_inc_gst gives the cheapest public price counting verified business plans only.
